Togouchi Pure Malt is a Japanese blended malt from Sakurao Distillery, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It looks slightly cloudy in the glass.
The malts in the blend have matured for between 3 and 9 years in a careful selection of sherry and bourbon casks.
The nose is sweet, with vanilla, chocolate and ripe apricot. On the palate come fresh cream and a fine peat that gradually takes over. The finish brings bitter cocoa and hazelnut alongside peat that slowly fades.
