Togouchi Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Togouchi Single Malt is a Japanese single malt distilled at the Sakurao Distillery and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It has no added colouring and is not chill-filtered. The whisky matures for at least three years in bourbon and sherry casks, kept in the underground maturation cellar at Akiota-Togouchi, where the controlled conditions slow the extraction from the wood. Sakurao then composes the single malt and bottles it itself. The nose is fresh, with vanilla, apple and orange marmalade. The palate is round and sweet, with dried fruit and a clear sugar sweetness. The finish is lively and short, with sweet spices and ginger.
