This Tomatin 12 Year Old was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2021 as part of The French Collection. It is a Highland single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration.
After maturing in oak casks, it was moved into Sauternes wine casks from Bordeaux for its final maturation.
The nose is honeycomb, apricot jam, vanilla custard and citrus zest, with white grape and sweet oak. The palate is sweet, with honeyed peaches, tropical fruit and baked pears, balanced by vanilla, toasted oak and light spice. The finish is long and warming, with lingering sweetness and gentle oak tannins.
