Tomatin 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is aged for 12 years in a combination of oak and Oloroso sherry casks, and it is non-chill filtered.
The distillery uses Scottish barley and water from the Alt-na-Frith burn, and the spirit is double distilled in copper pot stills.
On the nose there is dark chocolate, orchard fruits and toasted almonds, with vanilla and gentle spice. The palate brings sweet malt, dried fruits, raisins and caramel, with subtle nutty notes and warm baking spices. The finish is medium to long, with oak, gentle spice and a lingering sweetness.
