Cù Bòcan is the peated single malt from Tomatin, a Highland distillery. It is made during one week of peated production each year, using barley with a peat level of 15 ppm, and takes its name from a spectral black dog said to haunt the village. Bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky is matured in bourbon barrels, oloroso sherry casks and virgin oak casks. It is non-chill filtered and of natural colour. The nose shows light smoke, honey, citrus, cinnamon, vanilla and roasted almonds. The palate has balanced smokiness with honey, coconut, cloves, dark chocolate and dried fruit, and the finish carries sweet smoke and warming spice.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
