A Tomatin release from the Italian Trio series, a limited edition in which the whisky first spent 10 years in traditional casks. It was then moved into casks that had held wine from regions including Piemonte, Veneto and Sicily. This one spent a further 2 years in casks that had held Amarone. It is described as showing red fruits such as rhubarb and strawberry, with poached pear, sweet baked notes and spice like cinnamon.
