Tomatin Madeira Finish 15 Years Old is a Highlands single malt from a distillery that dates back to 1897. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
The whisky first matures in traditional oak casks and is then finished in casks that held Madeira wine.
The nose is soft and fruity, with cherries, apricots and raisins, plus honey and vanilla. On the palate, the Madeira influence shows in candied fruit, caramel and milk chocolate, with a light note of spicy oak. The finish is long and warm, with lingering sweetness and slight dryness from tannins.
