This is a peated single malt from Torabhaig on the Isle of Skye, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Allt Gleann is the second release in the distillery's Legacy Series.
It is made from a blend of Concerto and Laureate malted barley and matured in 80% first fill bourbon casks and 20% refill whisky casks. Each batch is bottled from a maximum of 30 casks. The aim is a balance of the distillery's smoke and maritime character with added layers of complexity.
The nose brings woody tobacco, shortbread, earthy peat smoke and lemon peel. The palate is peaty and oily, with coastal tar, roasted salted nuts and a medicinal edge.
