Traverse City Barrel Proof Bourbon (75cl, 58.3%)

Traverse City Barrel Proof Bourbon is a barrel-strength bourbon from Traverse City Whiskey Co. in Michigan, bottled uncut and unfiltered at around 58.3% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mashbill is 75% corn, 21% rye and 4% malted barley. Its maturation takes place in two stages: the barrels age for roughly seven years at a facility in Indiana, then continue maturing in Northern Michigan. The nose combines butterscotch, caramel, toasted oak, cocoa and dried dark fruit. On the palate, toffee and caramel give way to charred oak, baking spice, pecan pie and honey. The finish is long, with cinnamon, dry oak, licorice and mint.
