Two James Catcher's Rye is made at Two James Spirits in Detroit, Michigan, from 100% Michigan rye grain and water from the Great Lakes watershed. It is aged for a minimum of two years in new charred American oak.
A mash of all rye, rather than rye with corn, gives a spicier, drier spirit than a standard American rye. Two James is Detroit's first licensed distillery since Prohibition.
Rye spice, black pepper, dried fruit and grain lead the nose, with caraway and dried cherry on the palate and a long, spicy finish.
