This is a high-rye bourbon from Two James Spirits in Detroit, Michigan, in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 36% rye, 60% corn and 4% barley, and the whiskey is finished in Madeira barrique casks.
Two James revived the historic Grass Widow name as a tribute to Detroit's whiskey heritage before Prohibition.
The palate shows bold rye spice, with hazelnut and dried raisin from the Madeira finish.
