Uncle Nearest 1856 is a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 50% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of barrels between 8 and 14 years old, made at the Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville and named in honour of Nathan "Nearest" Green. The whiskey is filtered through sugar maple charcoal and aged in new, charred American oak barrels. The nose brings maple and vanilla, then dried cherries, almond cookies and black pepper. On the palate it is bold and spicy, with caramel, brown sugar and marzipan. The finish is long, with spiced honey, maple and coconut.
