Uncle Nearest Rye Whiskey (75cl, 50%)

Uncle Nearest Rye is a straight rye whiskey from Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee, bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is made from a 100% rye mash bill. The whiskey is distilled in Canada to American straight rye specifications, then aged for a minimum of four years in New York. It finishes in Tennessee in previously used Uncle Nearest bourbon barrels. The nose has praline, honeydew melon, candied orange peel, nutmeg and white pepper. On the palate come vanilla cream and caramelised sugar, then rye spice, stone fruit and leather. The finish is long, with rye spice, gentle sweetness and warm baking spice.
