Nearest Green Tennessee Whiskey is a Tennessee whiskey from Uncle Nearest, named for Nathan 'Nearest' Green, the first known African American master distiller. It was blended by his great-great-granddaughter, Victoria Eady Butler.
Released in 2024, it is bottled at 42% ABV (84 proof) in a 750ml bottle and comes from Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
The tasting notes describe caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and fresh corn on the nose, caramel, vanilla, cinnamon, maple syrup and nutmeg on the palate, and a long, smooth finish of light spice and sweet oak.
