Uncle Nearest 1884 Small Batch is a Tennessee whiskey bottled at 46.5% ABV (93 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is distilled, aged and bottled at the Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee, and drawn in small batches from barrels aged a minimum of seven years. Master Blender Victoria Eady Butler, Nearest Green's great-great-granddaughter, curates every batch, and her signature appears on the back of each bottle. The name marks 1884, believed to be the last year Green put his own whiskey into barrels before retiring. The nose brings honey, brown sugar, cedar and orange peel. The palate pairs caramel with spicy oak, and the finish is long and smooth with cinnamon, dark chocolate and maple syrup.
