Valtellina Superiore DOCG Inferno Nino Negri

Valtellina Superiore DOCG Inferno is a red wine from Nino Negri, made from Nebbiolo, also called Chiavennasca, grown in the Inferno subzone of Valtellina Superiore. The vineyard has steep terraced slopes exposed to heat. The wine is vivid garnet red. Its bouquet combines forest fruits, cherries and plums with violet, spice, tobacco and leather from ageing in wood. On the palate it balances structure and elegance, with finely integrated tannins, lively acidity and a long, persistent, spicy and mineral finish. It suits grilled red meats, stews, game and aged cheeses.
