Van Winkle Family Reserve Bourbon Distilled 1970 Bottled 1984 #A235 (75cl)

Van Winkle Family Reserve is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Stitzel-Weller stocks in Louisville, bottled by the Van Winkle family's independent bottling operation. This is bottle #A235, in a 75cl bottle. The whiskey was distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1984, fourteen years after distillation. That places it before the modern Pappy Van Winkle programme began, at the same Louisville distillery that produced the original Pappy Van Winkle-era expressions.
