Van Winkle Family Reserve Bourbon Distilled 1970 Bottled 1984 (75cl)

Van Winkle Family Reserve is a Kentucky straight bourbon made from a wheated mashbill at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery in Louisville. It was distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1984, in a 750ml bottle. It comes from the Van Winkle family's independent bottling operation, from the period before the modern Pappy Van Winkle programme began. The wheated mashbill was produced under Van Winkle family oversight, and is the same style of mashbill that defines the current Pappy Van Winkle range at Buffalo Trace.
