Vintage Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon aged for 23 years and bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV) in a 75cl bottle. It is bottled below cask strength so that its aromas and flavours can open without being masked by alcohol.
At this age the grain character has been absorbed into the oak, with concentrated dried fruit alongside leather, tobacco and warm caramel.
The nose is described as deep caramel, dried fruit, aged leather, tobacco and warm spice. The palate is silky and complex, and the finish is very long, closing in several stages.
