Vital Spark 11 Year Old is an Islay single malt finished in Caribbean rum casks, bottled at 55.8% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It is the first time the name has appeared on an Islay single malt.
The name comes from the 'Puffer', the famous boat that called at Islay in the early years and carried thousands of casks to the mainland.
The character is smoky, with plenty of smoke and a Caribbean flavour from the rum finish.
