Von Payne Black Blended Whiskey (45%)

Von Payne Black is a blackcurrant-flavoured blended American whiskey. It is made from a three-year-old blended whiskey infused with natural black currant, and bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof). The bottle is a heavy glass decanter fitted with a detailed metal gargoyle pour spout. In the glass, the earthy sweetness of the berry sits against the warm, spicy character of the whiskey, with a slightly tart edge. The nose brings dark berry, red currant and cherry with cinnamon and brown sugar. The palate is smooth and fruit-led, with tart black currant and jammy sweetness set against warm oak, and the finish is long and warming with lingering dark fruit.
