Waiheke Whisky Oak & Rye (70cl, 40%)

Waiheke Whisky Oak & Rye is an American-style whisky from New Zealand, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The mash is 51% corn, 21% rye and 28% barley. It is matured in an oceanside barrel house and has a grassy, spicy tone with a distinct rye note. The colour is a burnt caramel. The nose is sweet oak, spice and vanilla. On the palate come toasted oak, spices, vanilla, cream corn, smooth caramel and summer grass, leading to a spicy finish with clear rye notes.
