Waterford Hook Head Edition 1.1 is an Irish single malt made from barley grown at Hook Head Farm in County Wexford. It is bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The whisky is matured in first fill bourbon, virgin oak and French wine casks.
The nose is earthy and herbal, followed by citrus peel, malt biscuits and cracked pepper. The palate is textured, with salted toffee, ginger snap and orchard fruit, wrapped in spice and a coastal minerality. The finish is medium long, with fading malt sweetness and a touch of sea breeze.
