Waterford – Wilkinstown 1.1 (70cl)

This is an Irish whisky from Waterford, made with barley grown on the Wilkinstown farm near the mouth of the River Slaney, about five kilometres west of Wexford town. The farm is worked by Ger Kelly, a third-generation grower. The land is flat and shaped by the estuary and a maritime microclimate. Waterford bottles whisky from individual Irish farms in this way, so that the character of each farm's barley can be tasted in the glass, and the distillery is known for taking on new ideas and challenges.
