Kelp Revival is a limited release single malt from Waubs Harbour, in a 50cl bottle at 45% ABV. It is aged in Apera sherry casks, then finished in a 70-year-old Tawny Port cask, and blended with a little coastal peated whisky. The nose offers nectar honey, dried fruit such as chocolate-coated sultana and apricot, with oak beneath. On the palate, juicy canned fruit meets rich spice and sweetness, with an earthy, nutty overlay of peat in a bittersweet balance. The finish brings sultana, melted butter and nuttiness.
