Port Storm is a single malt from Waubs Harbour, bottled at 48% in a 50cl bottle. It was made using ex-tawny French oak casks balanced with American oak casks, and a touch of ex-bourbon wood adds to its spice.
The nose combines sultana jam, vanilla, toffee spice, brandy and custard, with poached pear and glazed cherry. The palate is rich and oily, with sultana and pear crumble, treacle, golden syrup and dried stone fruit. The finish is long, with buttery prune and sultana syrup.
