This is an Australian single malt from Waubs Harbour, bottled at 43% ABV in a 50cl bottle. It was matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks, with a layer of French oak port cask added.
The bourbon casks bring out the salted toffee character, while the port cask adds creamy raisin and butterscotch.
The nose has delicate sweet spice and a salty mineral note. The palate is a big toffee sweetness balanced by salt, with biscuit, creamed apples, light florals and nectar. The finish has tawny butter and caramel butterscotch, close to cookie dough.
