Westland – American Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Westland American Single Malt is an American single malt whiskey from the Westland distillery in Seattle, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The distillery works with five different varieties of barley, and the whiskey is matured in a range of casks that includes ex-bourbon and ex-sherry. Once filled, the casks go to coastal warehouses, where the rainforest climate suits maturation. The nose is lime and orange custard with fresh waffles, creme brulee, chocolate custard and a touch of jasmine. The palate is creamy, with rich fruit and custard, cherries, chocolate and almonds. The finish is banana and cream with Turkish coffee.
