Westland – Colere 2nd Edition 2022 Release (50%)

The second Colere edition from Westland, an American single malt bottled at 50% ABV. It is the 2022 release and is limited. Colere editions are made with unusual barley varieties grown outside the commodity system. Each is bottled once a year, and the focus is on flavour rather than yield. This edition uses Talisman, a two-row winter barley related to Maris Otter. After distillation the whisky is matured only in used casks, which keeps the influence of the wood fairly low and in balance with the fine grain aromas.
