Westland Garryana VII is the seventh edition in the distillery's Garry Oak series, an American single malt bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 70cl bottle.
The series explores native Pacific Northwest oak, and this edition uses a high proportion of Garry Oak casks alongside Washington Apple Brandy casks and Syrah wine casks.
The nose is baked apple, dark berry jam, warm cinnamon and roasted oak. On the palate come dark stone fruit, caramel and clove, framed by savoury oak spice. The finish is long and warm, with lingering dark fruit and earthy tannins.
