Westward American Single Malt (70cl, 45%)

An American single malt from Westward Whiskey, founded by Christian Krogstad, a graduate of the Siebel Institute of Technology. It is twice distilled in copper pot stills and aged in lightly charred new American oak. The whisky is fermented like an ale and aged like a bourbon. It is bottled at 45% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is herbal, with cinnamon, lemon curd, oak and butterscotch. The palate carries the herbal note with butterscotch, orange peel, baking spice, orchard fruit and oak. The finish is long and herbal, with orange peel, cocoa and lemon.
