Westward Milestone Edition No. 4 is an American single malt from Westward Whiskey of Portland, Oregon. Milestone is the distillery's annual expression, drawn by Master Blender Miles Munroe from a 21-barrel Solera system.
This edition takes inspiration from Cognac and Armagnac. New casks were added to the Solera, and most of the whiskey had secondary maturation in Hungarian oak and in large French oak Armagnac casks. It is bottled at 57% ABV.
The nose has Manuka honey, gardenia, coconut and citrus oil with cedar and vetiver. The palate turns darker, with brown sugar, apricot, fig and leather. The finish is long, with lemon and lime rind, cherry, tobacco and walnut.
