Westward Whiskey
Type
Single Malt Whisky
Cask Type
New American oak cask, lightly toasted
Westward American Single Malt comes from the small Westward Whiskey distillery in Portland, a name now recognised around the world among American single malt producers. It is made from locally grown malted barley and distilled twice in copper stills. Like a bourbon, it matures in new, lightly toasted American oak casks. The brewing stage is distinctive: a particular beer yeast produces a wash that resembles top-fermented ales.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
