Wheel Horse Kentucky Straight Rye (75cl, 50.5%)

Wheel Horse Kentucky Straight Rye is distilled at Green River Distilling Co. from a mash bill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley. It is aged for two to four years and bottled at 50.5% (101 proof) without chill filtration, in a 750ml bottle. The style is bold and spice-led, and it is often used as the base for cocktails. The nose is floral and spicy, with fresh rye grass, black pepper, baking spice and a touch of honey. The palate is thick, with black pepper, clove and ginger, rounded by dark caramel, toasted oak and vanilla cream. The finish is long and dry, with a herbaceous rye note.
