Whipper Snapper – Upshot Cask Strength Australian Whiskey (70cl, 63%)

Whipper Snapper Upshot Cask Strength is an Australian whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 63% ABV. It is the cask strength counterpart to the Upshot. Where the Upshot goes into the barrel at 43%, this one is filled at a traditional 63.5%. The aim is a warmer, longer finish, greater depth and an oilier texture as it works with the oak. It is burnt golden amber in the glass. The nose shows toasted pecan, toffee and vanilla, and the palate warm caramel, butterscotch and macadamia with a rich, oily mouthfeel. The finish is long and generous, with depth and vanilla.
