Whiskey Acres Farm Crafted Bourbon is a wheated bourbon at 40% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled on a working family farm in DeKalb, Illinois, where the grain is grown, milled, mashed, fermented, distilled and aged on the same property. The mashbill is 75% yellow-dent corn, 15% soft red winter wheat and 10% malted barley, with water drawn from a limestone aquifer beneath the farm. The nose is honeyed cornbread, nutmeg and baking spice with a thread of roasted coffee. The palate is soft, with caramel, vanilla and gentle oak. The finish is medium, with vanilla, toasted grain, oak and nutmeg.
