Whiskey Del Bac – Frontera American Single Malt

Frontera is an American single malt from Whiskey Del Bac, matured in new American white oak and finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry botas. Pedro Ximénez is made from very ripe grapes dried in the sun to concentrate their sugar. The name nods to Jerez de la Frontera, the Spanish city known as the world capital of sherry. On the nose come raisin, walnut and crushed red grape skin. The palate is heavy with vanilla, then stone fruits and bright acidity, and the finish is long with honey, oak and leather. One large ice cube is the suggested serve.
