This is WhistlePig's 10 year old rye whiskey, a limited edition in a 1 litre gold pig-shaped decanter. The Piggybank bottle makes it as much a display piece as a whiskey to pour.
After ten years of ageing, the rye is spicy and bold, with caramel, vanilla and oak running through it.
On the nose it offers vanilla, cinnamon and caramelised sugar. The palate brings spicy rye with toffee, honey and toasted oak. The finish is smooth and warming, with lingering spice and dried fruits.
