WhistlePig 12 Year Old Old World is a straight rye whiskey from WhistlePig, a producer based on a farm in Shoreham, Vermont. The farm covers 200 hectares, with 120 planted with rye and a quarter given over to American oak trees that supply wood for the company's own casks. Growth in the northern climate is slow, which the producer says gives the casks a different maturation from oak grown in warmer regions.
