WhistlePig – Double Malt 18 Year Old 4th Edition Straight Rye Whiskey (75cl, 46%)

This is the fourth edition of WhistlePig Double Malt, an 18 year old straight rye whiskey bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Double Malt was first offered in 2019 and is now released annually, as the brand's oldest expression. The mash bill is 79% rye for peppery spice, 15% malted rye for a soft, floral and earthy character, and 6% malted barley for rich, sweet, toasted notes. This edition is finished in Spanish PX sherry casks, which add caramel and smoked maple. It comes in an oval decanter, with an outturn reported at around 10,000 bottles worldwide.
