WhistlePig – FarmStock Rye (75cl, 43%)

WhistlePig FarmStock is a rye whiskey in a 75cl bottle, released to mark the distillery's move toward making whiskey from grain to glass. It is bottled at 86 proof. The 'Triple Terroir' blend marries WhistlePig's own young rye, distilled in Vermont from its own grain and water and matured in custom oak, with heavily aged sourced ryes. The nose is bright and earthy, with fresh-cut rye grass, vanilla, honey and charred oak. The palate has peppery spice and citrus rounded by caramel, toasted nuts and baked apple. The finish is clean and of medium length, with gentle spice and sweet wood.
