WhistlePig – Piggyback 6 Year Old (75cl, 48.3%)

WhistlePig Piggyback is a six-year-old American whiskey in a 75cl bottle, bottled at 48.28% ABV (96.56 proof). It was created in the summer of 2018 by the late Dave Pickerell, who set out to make a rye whiskey for the best cocktails. The mashbill is 100% rye, and the whiskey is aged for not less than six years. A thread of cinnamon and citrus runs through it. The nose offers fresh cinnamon, black peppercorn and a hint of tangerine and grapefruit zest. The palate is powerfully spicy, with cocoa, cardamom and cured leather. The finish is long, with baking spices, vanilla and hints of citrus.
