WhistlePig Rye is a 10 year old rye whiskey bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the WhistlePig distillery in Vermont, in the United States.
The whisky itself originates in Canada and was matured further in virgin American oak at WhistlePig.
The nose offers allspice, orange zest, aniseed, oak and caramel. The palate starts sweet, with caramel again, brown sugar, chocolate, vanilla, rye and mint. The finish is medium in length, with pepper and caramel.
