WhistlePig – 'The Beholden' 21 Year Old (75cl)

WhistlePig 'The Beholden' is a 21 year old North American single malt, in a 750ml bottle. It is described as the first super-aged single malt of its kind on the continent, matured more than twice as long as any other. The whisky spent 21 years in American oak, which adds maple and dried fruit to a bready, nutty base. It was then finished in WhistlePig Rye barrels, bringing savoury spice and subtle smoky notes. The nose is sweet fruit leading into cinnamon. On the palate come golden raisin, graham cracker and black cherry. The finish is oaky, with maple, praline and a hint of smoke.
