Thandai barrel finish
The eleventh Boss Hog release from WhistlePig, a Vermont straight rye in a 75cl bottle. The base is a Canadian straight rye, finished in barrels seasoned with an experimental spirit infused with saffron, cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, fennel, poppy and black peppercorn. The idea came from a 7,000-mile journey to Rajasthan, India, where WhistlePig discovered thandai, an aromatic drink. The nose is described as smouldering incense, cardamom, clove, black pepper and saffron. The palate brings fennel, poppy seed, brown sugar, vanilla cream, mango and papaya, and the finish is very long, with cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper and oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
