White Oak – Akashi Blended Japanese Whisky (50cl, 40%)

White Oak Akashi is a blended Japanese whisky in a 50cl bottle, bottled at 40%. The age averages 3 years and 8 months, and the blend includes lightly peated malt alongside grain whisky made from wheat and barley. Most of the vatting is ex-bourbon casks, balanced by a range of other barrels. It is non-chill-filtered. The nose is malty and citrusy, with black cherry, toffee and oak. Vanilla and pine nuts lead the palate, and the finish is long and malty.
