This is Wire Works Release No 8 from White Peak Distillery in England, a small batch of 3,061 individually numbered 70cl bottles. The whisky was matured in Bourbon casks and finished in virgin oak. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 51.7% ABV, without colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose is leather, caramelised sugar and apples, with spice and sweet notes. The palate has good mouthfeel, with pepper and fruit, and the finish is smoky-sweet with clove.
