Wire Works Rum Cask Finish is a lightly peated single malt from White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, bottled at 56.2% ABV. It was matured first in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for two years in the distillery's own fresh rum casks, all made and matured on site. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered, and was released in 801 bottles. It won Gold at the World Whiskies Awards 2025.
Sweet, juicy and oily, with tropical fruits such as pineapple, guava and papaya. The nose brings grilled pineapple, white chocolate and lemon meringue, the palate crème anglaise, ripe banana and delicate peat smoke, and the finish rhubarb and custard and candied ginger.
