White Peak – Wire Works Single Malt Virgin Oak Finish (70cl)

Wire Works Virgin Oak Finish is a lightly peated single malt from Derbyshire, released in a 70cl bottle under the White Peak name. The whisky was first matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels, then finished for about eight months in virgin oak barrels. The nose brings caramelised sugar, leather and apples. On the palate it has a good presence in the mouth, with pepper and floral fruit notes. The finish carries a smoky-sweet, clove-like spice.
