Whyte & Mackay Special is a blended Scotch whisky in a one-litre bottle, described as a double marriage blend. Its colour is gold.
The nose starts mildly aromatic, dry and grassy, with touches of bitter orange, light floral notes, a little coffee, chocolate, malt and grain, and a faint dustiness. The palate is light, malty and caramelly, with a fair amount of liquorice.
The finish is short, with caramel, liquorice and a little pepper.
